FAQ’s

  • Career counselling can provide women support that build self-awareness, esteem, and develop pathways thinking. It can also help  with developing the ability the self-advocate, supporting women to foster genuine resilience in finding work-life balance and in developing innovative career options to suit their needs. I support women with the very practical skills needed to approach new and prospective employers, write resumes, networking, interview coaching and settling into your new role.

  • If career counselling can help you find a workable balance between paid and unpaid life roles, negotiate the flexibility you need and support you in identifying and working within your capacity in ways that are meaningful and exciting to you would it be worth it?  If it helped you negotiate a better salary or workplace conditions would it be worth it?

I am a little biased because it is a hard ‘yes’ for me; but can I also tell you the clients that have found their purpose and their feet, got better paid jobs that require less hours and have been able to achieve the balance they need to manage other priorities also say yes too.

  • Career counselling can help in several ways.  There is practical stuff like resumes and interview coaching that you might need to nail your next interview. But the really important stuff that many overlook is the process of defining your career identity, knowing who you are and where you want to go are the juicy things that career counselling can really support you with.  And of course career counselling can help you strategise how to get there and how to best use the resources you have available to you.

  • Absolutely you can, in fact these days it is almost a given most of us will have one if not many careers. On average we spend less than 3 years in a job and the current generation will have around 7 careers in their lifetime. The opportunities now with digitization and technology are endless. Career counselling can help you plan a new path forward in your career based on your needs, values and interests.

  • Yes I can help you through the process of career decision making, planning and moving yourself forward in a way that best suits your needs and lifestyle. Hating your job can be a situation in which you can find yourself in for a variety of reasons. Perhaps you are just not suited to the role, perhaps the workplace is toxic, maybe it isn’t as simple as that but you know in your heart it is just wrong for you. Career counselling can help you find your why and make a plan to move you forward.

  • Career counselling can support you in identifying options, seeing new possibilities and developing ideas about what you want, and how best to get it. The thing about work life balance is it is not as simple as dividing up your time and hoping for the best. Work that is meaningful, that you have a passion for is far less likely to feel like work and be far less draining. Already that sounds like more balance without shifting the needle on time management. Career counselling is powerful and can certainly support in in achieving the balance you want.

  • This is tricky to answer for me without knowing you or your situation. I offer a range of options and payment plans from a simple single session, to packages of sessions. I also offer programs to support those with comprehensive support at a fraction of the cost. My advice is to book a Soul Strategy call and we can run though your situation and the options best suited.
